Jury discharged in takeaway worker rape trial
The trial of a takeaway worker accused of rape has been cut short.
The jury in Turgay Denli's trial was discharged this afternoon.
The 29-year-old had denied two counts of raping and sexually assaulting a woman in the Whitehaven area after giving her a lift home from Workington.
Denli, of King Street, Workington, will now face a retrial at Carlisle Crown Court on January 15 next year.
