Anthony Pullin, 26, who used to work as a tattooist in Whitehaven, penned the image of Corbyn’s head coming out of a red rose.
Mr Pullin, who works at Blackfriars Tattoo Studio on Devonshire Street, Carlisle, said: “I drew it at home the other night.
“My partner Lara Asbridge was working as a steward for Unison during Corbyn’s visit and she handed it over for me.
“His organiser said he would put it up at home and might even use it on future merchandise.
“I’m not a big fan of politics but I think Corbyn has stuck around.
“He promised he’d come back after his last visit was cancelled because of the bomb in Manchester. He kept his word so you’ve got to hand that to him.”
Mr Pullin, who attended Whitehaven School, now lives in Caldewgate with Lara, 27, who works for Cumbria County Council.
He said: “I love my job. I like drawing and being creative. It’s quite rewarding. I spend a lot of time away from work working on my designs.
“I like to get things right as a tattoo is for life and people have to live with them.”
Mr Corbyn spoke to Labour party members at a private meeting in the Crown and Mitre Hotel on Wednesday night.
He later addressed a rally in the city centre thanking activists for their support and praising the work of Alston’s Labour branch for fighting cuts to NHS services.
