A beer launched in honour of West Cumbria's marathon man Gary McKee has made a return.

Ennerdale Brewery created Marathon Man in Gary's honour in March, when he was part way through his record-breaking challenge of 100 marathons in 100 days.

Paul Zanacchi, one of the brewery directors, made the recipe and brewed Marathon Man to support his friend's tough challenge.

Initially created as a limited edition ale, its popularity and calls for it to be bottled prompted the brewery to bring it back.

Gary, 47, started fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of his father who, after surviving a battle with cancer, died from an unrelated illness in 2003.

The father-of-three finished his mammoth challenge with the London Marathon in April and has raised more than £100,000.
