A 1920s-inspired band is set to perform in Whitehaven.

Cindy and The Bullets will be performing at Whitehaven Civic Hall on Thursday, October, 6. Doors open at 8pm. The show starts at 9pm.

It has been organised by a new social enterprise Always Another Way Cumbria Ltd CIC.

The cause aims to signpost people to services in West Cumbria and set up projects to "fill the gap" services, says one of the director's Jo Haigh.

Money raised from the event will go towards the social enterprise and the launch of its LGBT group.

Cindy Hoten, lead singer, said: "After our last ticketed event at Florence Mine was sold out within the first two weeks, we knew we would have to choose a larger venue. Local causes are important to us as we enjoy seeing a difference made in our community.

"Always Another Way was the perfect cause for us to really get our teeth into and help make a noise about.

"We aim to bring an evening of pizzazz with our Great Gatsby meets Bonnie and Clyde 1920s inspired band.

"We all have the belief that people want a special event they can get really dressed up for, wear that special dress and cut loose and dance all their stresses away, even if just for one night!"
