A FOSTER information session is set to be held in Whitehaven.
It will be held at New Life Church, Irish Street, on Tuesday, July 5 from 9am until 11.30am.
Loren Hannah from Community Foster Care, a not-for-profit agency, will be on hand to speak to anyone interested in fostering.
There are more than 600 children in Cumbria in need of foster carers who can offer stability and security, and the number is rising.
Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be single, married or divorced; male or female. They must be aged 25-plus.
Community Foster Care is an independent agency and registered charity which matches carers with children. It has an office based at Peart Road in Workington.
Loren said: "If you want to join an agency that feels like a large family with a high level of support, that is what we are about."
