WITH an evening of guitars, fiddles, whistle, bass and percussion, a popular Cumbrian band will take to the stage once again.

Local four-piece Stooshie will be setting the Florence Arts Centre in Egremont alight on Saturday October 8.

With a funked-up set of sweet folk melodies and raucous reels blending trad and self-penned fiddle tunes with bass and percussion, their sound is a musical storm that’s modern yet familiar.

Mixing the sound of guitars, fiddles, whistle, bass and percussion they’ll move you from the warm and melancholic – reflecting their love of the Cumbrian sea and the hills – to a jigging frenzy that’ll make you want to dance all night.

Support on the evening comes from local band Burnt House.
