SINGING sensation Jolan has added an extra night to his upcoming Whitehaven shows.

The Moor Row musician will host another intimate evening at Copeland Stadium on Friday, June 24 after his show on Friday, May 6 sold out quickly.

Tickets are on sale now for £15.

After finishing second on The Voice, the star announced three shows at the stadium in May to thanks his loyal fans.

Tickets are still available for his two shows on Saturday, May 21. Firstly, Jolan will play a matinee show - for all ages - starting at 2.30pm. He will follow this up with a full show, and support, at 7.30pm.

The performances are his way of thanking local fans for their support during his time on The Voice.

Speaking after the initial announcement, he said: "Ladies and gentlemen I have an announcement - I would like to thank you for your support over the last few weeks on The Voice.

"But I would like to thank you all in person so I am announcing three Whitehaven shows."

The show in May is priced at £10 while children under 12 can attend the matinee show for £5.

Last week, Jolan admitted his second place finish on hit TV show The Voice could be the best thing for his superstar ambitions.

Copeland's talented performer was pipped to the post by Kevin Simm – a former member of pop group Liberty X – in the live final watched by millions.

Back in Moor Row, the former Bookwell School pupil thanked fans for their "daft" level of support and revealed his admiration for Kevin - someone he has grown close to in recent weeks.

"He's like my brother. We're quite similar people and what ever happens we'll support each other," said Jolan.

"Kevin winning and me coming second was the perfect outcome really, it gives me the freedom now to do my own thing.

"I'll be working towards a music career. I just want to write, record, release some music and perform it."

He added: "We wouldn't be there if we didn't want to win, but I'm so happy he won. I respect him and he respects me."

On previous TV talent shows, failing to win hasn't prevented acts such as One Direction and Olly Murs from achieving success.

And Jolan couldn't have made it this far without the support he has received.

He said: "I never expected to have this much support. It's not just been in Cumbria, it’s been all over the world. It's the power of YouTube.

"It's daft, Twitter has gone mental. I've got almost 13,500 followers now. All I wanted was to enjoy it and other people to enjoy it."
