THE creator of TV comedy Hebburn presents his new stand-up show in Millom this weekend.

Jason Cook, who has had critically-acclaimed appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, appears at the Beggar's Theatre on Saturday September 17.

Equally respected for his writing for TV, he created and appeared in the BBC Two sitcom Hebburn alongside Chris Ramsey.

Having picked up the prestigious Best International Show award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, and high-profile appearances at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, he's a well-established performer with an equally enviable reputation in the southern hemisphere.

In his new show, An Idiot Speaks, he takes the audience on a journey through life and love as only he can.

Previous TV appearances have seen him guest on The John Bishop Show, and Cook has also been the face of a Jacob’s cracker advert.

One of the most in-demand comedic talents today, Jason has a plethora of five star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival and beyond. A gifted and hilarious storyteller, with an incredibly sharp mind lurking behind the cheeky Geordie persona, this show promises to be simply Jason doing what Jason does best-being one of the very best in the business.

His previous visit to Millom came as support to Chris Ramsey, and now he is back with his new full-length show to headline.

Saturday's show starts at 8pm, and tickets are available from the Beggar's Theatre box office.
