Activities at the annual show on the field by the King George IV pub will be held from 9.45am onwards.
The usual show features will be held. The popular Herdwick sheep entries have increased from last year, with the overall champion becoming the world champion, sponsored by the National Trust.
On display will be numerous creative lambs from the “Go Herdwick” collection which have recently been showcased in the county.
There will also be a cooking demonstration, a hand clipping demonstration and various displays.
Anne Fox, of Eskdale Show, said: “We are hoping for a dry day so that our many visitors can come along and enjoy a nice time in our beautiful valley.”
