A CAMPAIGN to boost refugees displaced to Greece has been launched by a Cumbrian charity.
Bootle Refugee Aid Cumbria UK (Bracuk) is appealing for people to donate items, particularly those for children, including warm clothing, nappies, toiletries and blankets. Cots and cribs are also being sought.
Bracuk is working with Jacob's Well and the Salvation Army on the distribution of the items around refugee camps in Greece. The charity's Joan Capp is also urging anyone with storage space in the Bootle area – or those who can help with packing or who wish to make a cash donation – to get in contact.
For more information, telephone Joan on 01229 718248, visit www.bootlerefugeeaidcumbria.org or the charity's Facebook page. Or write to Bracuk, Hycemoorside House, Bootle Station, Millom, Cumbria, LA19 5XG.
