Britain's Energy Coast has made appointments to two new roles.

The property company has welcomed Bill Graham and Rob Miller to complete its leadership team line-up.

Mr Graham has become head of estates, joining the team from Edinburgh pension specialists Hornbuckle, where he was a commercial property specialist.

He will be responsible for managing BEC’s property portfolio including sites at Westlakes Science Park, Moss Bay, Blencathra Business Centre near Keswick, and its soon-to-be headquarters at Cleator Moor.

Mr Miller, head of property and development, takes up his new role after six years as director of Capital Projects and Estates at Northumberland College.

He is helping the firm bring forward schemes to generate revenue and create a lasting legacy for the region.

Mr Graham, who has managed £500m property portfolios throughout the UK, added: “I am delighted to be back involved in traditional asset- and property- management once again, where my passion lies. Here there is a real opportunity to help make a difference in driving the business forward, that also acts as a landlord with a genuine corporate and social responsibility.”

Mr Miller is originally from the area and is a former pupil of St Bees School, where he is now a governor.

He added: “I have passion to see the county grow as a destination in terms of employment, education and leisure.”
