A FEMALE officer who hit the national headlines over a row with a colleague about breasts is moving to Cumbria Police.

Superintendent Sarah Jackson was formerly with Greater Manchester Police.

Her move comes months after an alleged row involving Supt Jackson and assistant chief constable Rebekah Sutcliffe about their breasts. ACC Sutcliffe is alleged to have flashed Supt Jackson in a hotel bar after a ‘women in policing’ conference in May.

Supt Jackson has been cleared of any wrongdoing, with no case to answer. The other officer is set to face a disciplinary hearing.

A Cumbria Police spokesperson said Supt Jackson “is a talented and capable senior officer who will be a welcome addition to the force”. The police “is aware of the officer’s history” and say Supt Jackson has not been subject to any misconduct proceedings.
