OVER 200 beautiful bloom entries brightened up Bigrigg Village Hall at the West Cumbria Fuchsia Society show held at the weekend.
The show also introduced two new classes for geraniums and the Best in Show was won by John Fleming, who won a further five trophies.
John Stanborough, show secretary, said he was delighted with the number of entries, but was keen to welcome any new members.
"The society has a lot of expertise so can help new members with advice on flowers and vegetables.''
Other winners included John Stanborough (five trophies), Harry Smith (four trophies), Allan Anderson (three trophies), Barry Fleming (three trophies), Enid Stanborough (three trophies), Fred Wilson, Brenda Walker and J Auty, of Seascale (best junior).
