THE team which works tirelessly year-round to organise Egremont Crab Fair has received an award.
The Crab Fair Committee has been presented with a Volunteer of the Year Award by the Copeland Community Fund to honour its commitment to the historic and popular event.
Stephen Foster, chair of the Crab Fair Committee, said: "It is nice for the work we do be recognised by a body such as the Copeland Community Fund.
"The Fund is also very good to the committee with funding to help us keep the fair going, for which we thank them."
