ACCLAIMED acoustic duo Sullivan and Gold will be the next performers in Florence Arts Centre's busy music programme, visiting at the start of next month.

The County Derry pair pitch up at the Egremont venue on Saturday April 1 as part of their UK tour to celebrate the release of their latest single.

Their acoustic-based sound celebrates the art and craft of songwriting and its power to uplift with anthemic pop songs in the mould of Villagers, Damien Dempsey and Snow Patrol.

Sullivan and Gold's music carries a graceful falsetto, vocal dexterity and sweeping melody and the songs are bold, beautiful, atmospheric and emotive.

A well-received debut album, For Foes, was released on Smalltown America Records in 2013, garnering critical-acclaim and propelling the band to new heights.

Their new single is released this month, showcasing their uplifting songwriting style.

Regulars on the live music scene, with gigs from London to the Outer Hebrides, this will be their Florence debut.

They are supported by local act Lee Patrick. The Whitehaven singer and multi-instrumentalist returns to the Florence Arts Centre to play set of contemporary pop and rock classics, from Rag-N-Bone Man to Eric Clapton.

Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets are available from the venue's box office.
