Inquiry as Sellafield safety mechanism fails
SELLAFIELD is investigating its first serious incident for seven months after the failure of a safety mechanism. No-one was harmed and there was not any escape of radioactivity but hydrogen which can build up from nuclear fuel stored under water was left unchecked for a week.
