The Smiths will be back in Cumbria as a tribute show celebrates a special anniversary.

On October 13, 1986, the Manchester band played their final Cumbrian gig at Carlisle's Sands Centre.

Thirty years on, Barrow tribute band Girlfriend and A Korma will play at Florence Arts Centre to mark the occasion.

The band are promising a full run through of The Queen Is Dead plus a special set of classics and curiosities.

In October 1986, The Smiths returned from their North American tour and began the second leg of their UK dates in Carlisle - it was to be their last tour.
