Free ecards from us to you!
Last updated 10:07, Wednesday, 10 December 2008
WE’VE launched a range of Christmas ecards so that you can send out some seasonal cheer, free of charge, and do your bit for the environment.
Our ecards feature photographs of Cumbria in all its winter splendour and are sent electronically so that they arrive in an email for your friends or family members to enjoy.
The project is being run by CN Group, publishers of The Whitehaven News, with Resource Cumbria, to help reduce the waste paper and card generated at Christmas time.
Each Christmas Cumbrians send and receive more than 8.3 million cards many of which end up in landfill sites.
Nick Turner, head of digital content development for CN Group, said: “Ecards are becoming an increasingly popular option at Christmas.
“They’re free to send, which is bonus when we are all feeling the pinch.
“There are six designs to choose from and plenty space for your own personal message.”
To send your Christmas ecards go to www.ecards.cngroup. co.uk
