AS part of an afternoon learning about Whitehaven, the Eighth Whitehaven Cub Scouts were treated to a harbour walk and talk by general manager of the Rum Story, Phil Haselhurst. Phil spoke to the young people about how Whitehaven’s history as a trading and mining town. The cubs also visited the Rum Story to learn more about the town. Geoff England, cub scout leader, said all the cubs had thoroughly enjoyed the excursion.
