Cutting a dash for Brow
Last updated at 13:13, Friday, 29 August 2008
THESE colourful folk took part in the recent Wath Brow Hornets trolley dash.
Around 80 people joined in the annual event around the pubs of Cleator Moor to raise money for the club’s tour fund.
The teams dressed up in a variety of costumes including Cleopatra, Ghostbusters, Egyptians and Sheila’s Wheels.
Entrants paid a £10 joining fee to take part in the event.
There were also cake stalls, bouncy castles and raffles to raise money for the fund.
Amy Caddy, one of the organisers, said: “The weather wasn’t great, but we still had a really great time. We had a cake stall, and the majority of the businesses contributed to the raffle prizes. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
The committee would like to thank the pubs and clubs that sponsored the teams and the businesses that gave prizes.
