Andria focuses on a winning picture
Last updated 17:48, Wednesday, 23 July 2008
OUR online photographic group, Whitehaven Snappers, have been battling it out.
And the winner of the June competition, Rule Of Thirds, was Andria Simpson with this shot of Whitehaven’s harbour wall. She won a framed print courtesy of Fotomax on Lowther Street, Whitehaven.
Some of the other entries thought worthy of mention by judge Dave Wilson include the others on this page.
And the Snappers have come up with a logo for their group. Members submitted their ideas then voted on their favourite. Outright winner was one by graphic artist Sarah France.
Whitehaven Snappers is for photographers in the Whitehaven area or those taking pictures of this part of West Cumbria. It operates online at www.flickr.com/groups/whitehavensnappers. You’ll see a “join this group” button on the home page.
Members have competitions, workshops, days out and swap advice and tips online. There are more than 100 members to date.
It’s free to join the group.
