A HOST of celebrity memorabilia is up for grabs at an annual charity auction tomorrow night.
The auction, to be held at the Ship Launch, Egremont, is part of the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children’s Fund summer benefits weekend, and features a wide range of items from the worlds of sport, film, television and music.
From signed pictures of movie greats such as Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, to those of international football icons including Johan Cruyff, Franz Beckenbauer and Diego Maradona, there is something for everyone.
The music world is also well represented at the auction, with signed items from Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, Alex Kapranos and Kylie Minogue.
There are also signed autobiographies from the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, John Motson, Tony Blair and Gordon Ramsay, as well as a signed rugby shirt from Wigan Warriors and Workington Town.
But the auction is only part of the charity night, which also features music from MT Arms and John and Wayne, as well as a pop quiz and raffle. It starts at 7pm.
There is also a race night on Saturday (7.30pm at the Ship Launch), which is sponsored by James Fisher Nuclear, Dalkia, AMEC, Impwood Roofing, Hold Engineering, Hertel Services, Capita and Johnson Controls.
