THERE will be plenty of fun on offer at this year’s Whitehaven Carnival.
Organised by the Whitehaven and District Lions team, it takes place on Saturday, July 5.
There will be a fete in Castle Park and large parade through the town, promising a great day out for all the family.
It runs from 11am onwards in the park where there will be a wide variety of stalls.
From 1.30pm there will be the carnival parade featuring plenty of floats from local groups, plus many dance troops and several bands – promising a colourful and vibrant journey through Whitehaven.
Lion’s president Esther Clements said: “It’s really exciting to see so much going on in Whitehaven such as the Town Crier Competition, Harbour 300th, the Carnival and forthcoming Status Quo concert in August.”
