ONE of the new stores coming to Workington is looking for staff.
HMV, the country’s largest retailer of music, DVDs and games, began advertising this week for sales and stock room assistants, loss prevention officers and temporary seasonal employees.
Applications close on September 4 and the store plans to open in the autumn.
It will be among the first shops in the new look shopping area.
The others are fashion shops Civvy Street and New Look, Claire’s Accessories, shoe shops Deichmann and Clarks, card shops Clintons and Birthdays, optician Stephen Rowe, travel agent Thomas Cook, confectioner Thorntons, photo processor Klick and BB’s Coffee and Muffins.
Clothes firm Next will start fitting its shop next month and will open in December.
