Thanks Copeland for a great year

SIR – As my year in office ended last week, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Copeland for helping to make it one of the most rewarding experiences I have had.
My wife, Linda, and I have met so many wonderful people, including sportsmen and women, entertainers, dancers, thespians and many more. Then there are the volunteers working behind the scenes, helping those less fortunate than themselves; the community leaders, trying to make their communities a better place to live; the children in our schools, who often get a bad press, showed how much they care about what goes on.
It has been a year out of my life but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
Thanks again, Copeland.
Coun John A JACKSON
Mayor of Copeland, 2011-12
