Stadium: will councillors quit?

SIR – Thank you for your ‘Timeline’ coverage on Whitehaven’s Rugby League version of Workington’s Uppies and Downies (The Whitehaven News, August 18).
It was most informative in illustrating the chronic mismanagement by Copeland Council, West Lakes Renaissance and Britain’s Energy Coast of the Pow Beck development.
Calamity Elaine, Tim Know-Less and Will Soon are all taxpayer-remunerated officials supposedly overseeing this and their equally mismanaged failures of Albion Square, Tesco and the new interchange. They would have been long gone had they worked in the private sector.
Perhaps similar Timelines on their other chronic failures may shame them into resigning? As taxpayers we can but hope.
