Shameem is our superhero

SIR – As you reported last week, there is a Mokylympic superhero living here in West Cumbria!

jumping for joy: Shameem Arnold warming up

Forget the X-Factor, I’m A Celebrity and Strictly... there is only one thing that is taking over the UK and that is the crazy dance fitness phenomenon MOKY, created by Shameem Arnold. Wherever you go you are guaranteed to meet a Maddict (translation: we live, think, breathe, sleep and talk Moky)! So, on behalf of Maddicts everywhere, who recently received the amazing news that Shameem is going to be a London 2012 Olympic Future Flame Torchbearer for Cumbria on June 21, 2012, we would publicly like to thank and say “Congratulations and good luck Shameem, whoop, whoop!” and share our story highlighting why Shameem is our inspiration. We are Mokyvated to be the best we can be, so come on... let’s get ready to Moky!

Shameem hasn’t just created the perfect weight loss/toning solution but with her fabulous welcoming team of instructors provides a crazy, fun, party atmosphere at every class that motivates and enables everyone to escape from their problems. Many of us discovered the classes as a result of looking for help to lose weight, manage stress/depression and other medical conditions, and to improve self-esteem and body image. Shameem personally helps, encourages and supports all her customers, using dance to boost our confidence, lose our inhibitions, and create friendships, whilst making us fitter, healthier, happier and definitely hotter after burning 1,000 calories. We all agree that meeting Shameem and regularly attending her classes is one of the best things we have ever done and we are eternally grateful to her for giving us an incredible addiction that gets us hooked from the start. Shameem and Mat work incredibly hard to keep the Moky magic alive – we do actually forget we’re exercising and think we’re all on a night out!

Finally, we would like to thank Shameem’s incredible husband, Mat Arnold (who nominated her), the fantastic Moky team and all the loyal Maddicts/friends who voted for Shameem. This unique opportunity to shine has been given to our inspirational hero as Shameem has transformed our lives and thousands more. We are proud to say our Olympic and community spirit is definitely alive and Mokying here in West Cumbria! We hope that like us and many others, after picking up this newspaper and reading our story you too will be there to cheer and support Shameem.
