Keeping you warm inside and out

GREENTHERM is a young company always on the lookout for innovative products and it is really impressed with the latest addition to its environmentally sound services.
Local businessmen Paddy Leighton and Andrew Jackson, along with Allan Benn, set up Greentherm based in Broughton.
Now on top of their insulation product Icynene, a breathable soft foam insulation for internal use, they are offering Warm Wall™ for the outside of buildings.
Mr Leighton said: “We discovered Warm Wall™ at a building exhibition in Birmingham.
“It is made by German company Marmorit, whose parent company Knauf is, like us, environmentally conscious.
“Warm Wall™ offers external insulation for buildings which have no cavity or those where the cavity is too small to get any real benefit from cavity insulation.”
This is a great product for older buildings or timber frame construction as it still allows the building to “breath”.
Once Warm Wall™ has been applied it is rendered to give either a smooth or textured finish and is available in any British Standard colour.
Mr Leighton said they have already applied Warm Wall™ to a house at West Shore Park, Walney, and a house in Backbarrow which Greentherm insulated inside and out.
Mr Leighton added the business is going very well and, as both products carry a manufacturer’s guarantee, they are attracting interest from further afield, but they are always looking out for new customers.
