WHITEHAVEN’S music fans have a belated Christmas present to look forward to – with a full day of live music on Boxing Day.
Local promoters The Mighty Boof have secured a top line-up for the gig, with headliners The Lottery Winners (pictured) to round off the festive bash in style.
Manchester band The Lottery Winners, former winners of the major Live and Unsigned competition, have become favourites on the local scene, most recently at this summer’s At The Playground festival.
And they’ll be joined by the best on the local music scene, including Colt 45, Shore, Mazzoni, House of Three Hands, I Am Spartacus , Gavin McKew, David Eldon, Emma Dockeray, Sarah Dockeray, Life In A Glass House and Callum Hurrell.
The Boof’s Josh Shepherd said: “People have been asking for a big Boxing Day gig for years, so this year we thought give people what they want. Tickets are selling well and The Lottery Winners are loved around here and will be great headliners so we can’t wait.”
Doors open at 12.30pm. Tickets are £10 from the venue (01946 514960 or www.civichall.org) or Threads (01946 690008 or www.threads-clothing.com).
