Lessons to be learned

ST Benedict’s School has received a damning Ofsted report. This has put the school in special measures and tasked staff with making much-needed improvements. The school has been deemed inadequate in all areas the inspection covers.
However, this is mixed with the news that the school has recently been given the advanced quality in study support award – one of only 37 centres in the whole country recognised for its extra-curricular provision for students.
Let’s remember that young people’s time at school is not only about their examination results or where the school sits in the league tables. School life is a time to grow up, see where you fit in society and be the best you can be with valued friends around you.
St Benedict’s accepts improvements need to be made in the school. Let’s hope they do for the good of our children’s education.
