IT’S showtime again at Carlisle Sands Centre when Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat takes to the stage.
This is the show’s third visit to Carlisle, having visited in 2006 and 2008. And Craig Chalmers, one of the most popular finalists in the hit BBC series Any Dream Will Do, will be playing Joseph.
Craig charmed the millions who watched every Saturday, week after week, with his vocal talents, finishing in the top five.
Before Joseph, Edinburgh-born Craig was a professional vocalist and entertainer. He was part of successful boy band, No Reason, who enjoyed a top 10 hit as well as performing at the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh, and Hampden Stadium alongside Blue, McFly, Sugababes and Girls Aloud.
Co-star Tara Bethan was recently seen on BBC1 as a hopeful Nancy in I’d Do Anything, where she was one of the 10 finalists.
Although still only 24, she is a seasoned performer with over 17 years of experience as an actress including appearances on TV in Blue Peter and The National Lottery and onstage in Bugsy Malone at the Queen’s Theatre in London’s West End.
Bill Kenwright’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical continues to enjoy huge success across the country with standing ovations at every performance.
You can expect non-stop action and laughter from the show which retells the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours.
It runs from February 8 to 13 with matinee and evening performances. Tickets are £16.50 to £26.50 and are available from The Sands Centre Box Office on 01228 625222.
