Jamie finds time for a rhyme

COPELAND MP Jamie Reed read his favourite nursery rhyme to nursery kids at Howgill Family Centre.
Big Rhyme Time is a Cumbria County Council scheme which promotes nursery rhymes as an important tool to help young children develop patterns of language and helps lay down vital skills for having fun with words, exploring sounds and language development.
Coun Duncan Fairbairn, county council cabinet member responsible for schools and learning, said: “Giving Cumbria’s young children a head start in language skills will pay dividends in the future for them, their families and the communities they live in.’’
