Food and a film – the perfect night out on offer at Rosehill

CHEF John Crouch will be personally cooking the curry in an Indian-themed night at Rosehill Theatre.
And many will be glad to hear he’s not making it too hot!
John, pictured, said: “There will be a selection of Indian food but it will be tasty rather than sizzling hot. Many people say to me ‘I don’t like curry, but I do like this’. There are spices other than chile!”
And John should know. His wife is Indian and he regularly visits the country.
The event at Rosehill will be an Indian supper followed by a showing of the film, The Exotic Marigold Hotel.
The film stars Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson and Maggie Smith. The gentle comedy tells of British pensioners retiring to India to live at the hotel, only to find it’s not quite as exotic as it’s made out to be.
John said: “It’s a lovely film people will want to see over and over again. Those who visit India will recognise many aspects of this lovely country.”
The popular chef is a keen supporter of Rosehill Theatre which is now pushing ahead with plans for a £3m redevelopment, for which this event is a fundraiser.
The supper and film take place on August 16. Tickets are £15. Telephone 01946 692422 to book.
