WHITEHAVEN dance teacher Karen Starkey has enjoyed a catch-up with two of her most successful former pupils.
Karen, who runs Whitehaven-based Starkey School of Theatre Dance, took the opportunity to meet up with Lewis Charlton and Peter Reid during a recent trip to London.
Lewis, 14, is currently studying at Royal Ballet School in Richmond Park, Surrey, where he has recently successfully qualified for a place in Years 10 and 11 at the prestigious school.
Karen says she is looking forward to seeing Lewis dance in his end-of-year performance in The Royal Opera House in Londons Covent Garden.
Peter is currently in the emsemble of smash-hit musical We Will Rock You at The Dominion Theatre in London’s West End.
Since leaving Starkey’s, Peter attended Phil Winston’s Theatreworks in Blackpool, leading to work on A Chorus Line, Peter Pan and ultimately We Will Rock You.
“I’m so very proud of them both, especially when I see them on a London stage,” says Karen.
