Can YOU give a dog in need a loving home?

I’M HAPPY to report that we are still re-homing lots of dogs, so that’s great news.

One of our success stories over the last few weeks is the lovely Mouse, who is very happy in her new home. Abby is extremely happy in her new home too!

KAISER: I am running a special appeal for Kaiser our Staffie, who has been in the kennels with us for many years.

I spend a lot of time with him and love him very much. He has had a hard life and now is around 10 years old so he needs a special home to retire to, where he’ll be cared for and looked after in the warmth and have his home comforts.

As he gets older he won’t cope in the kennels, so this is a very special appeal for a very special dog that is extremely close to my heart. I hope I would be able to come and visit.

He has been very cruelly treated by people and from this has trust issues, just as people do when they have been mistreated. He is wary of new people so when people visit the kennels for a dog his barking gives them the wrong impression.

All it takes is for someone to put some time in with him – once you build a relationship up and gain his trust he is the most loving affectionate dog ever. He does form a strong bond with one person so it would be preferable if he went to a maybe older owner who live by themselves with no other pets or children.

If this special person is out there, I myself would put time in with you down at the kennels for you to build up a relationship with Kaiser and get to know him.

Please only contact me, Jaquie Stobbart, on 01900 823873 about Kaiser. I would be happy to discuss anything about him with anyone. [See photo].

PIRATE: This is a lovely six-year-old Staffie. He is very, very affectionate and loving. He cries when you leave him at the kennels so urgently needs a loving home.

He loves people and is great with other dogs. A home with older children would be preferred only because he is quite bouncy. [See photo].

Other dogs in the kennels needing loving homes:

DYLAN: He is a seven-year-old Brindle Whippet cross. He has just arrived in the kennels and is a bit timid. He is good with other dogs.

POLLY: Five-year-old German Shepherd/Labrador cross. Polly is good with children and OK with dogs. She needs quite a bit of exercise. Polly loves to play football!

SPOT: He is an 18-month-old and very handsome Staffie. We rescued him from the pound where he would have been put to sleep. He was very timid on arrival but soon came round. He gives lots of hugs and kisses. [See photo].

LOUIS: Louis is our seven-year-old Bedlington cross who is going blind. Like Kaiser, Louis has been with us long term and is happy and loved at the kennels. He would also need a very special home with someone with lots of time to give for him to be homed, otherwise he is happy living in the kennels, they are his home.

If someone was to give him the chance he might be more comfortable in a luxury heated kennel and run of his own where he could find his way around with going blind rather than finding his way round a whole house.

He loves to walk and loves to cuddle. He’s great with other dogs. Me and my friend took Louis on a five-mile sponsored dog walk last year and he loved it – especially going in the pub afterwards for sausages!

TJ AND BELLE: Six and seven year old Jack Russells. Two lovely little dogs, affectionate and love to cuddle in. Ideal family pets.

Other dogs waiting to be homed from their home:

CLINT: 10 year old German Shepherd. Clint is very fit for his age and doesn’t mind other dogs. He is very friendly and playful. A home with older children would be better for him.

HOLLY: She is a very beautiful seven-year-old Blue Merl Border Collie. Very affectionate and very playful. Good with dogs, cats and children. She would make a perfect family pet. [See photo].

HARVEY: A seven-year-old Cocker Spaniel.

STEVIE: He is a six-year-old Japanese Spitz.

MOLLY: She is a two-year-old Springer Spaniel.

MARLEY: Four-year-old staffie/whippet cross.

PIGLET: She is an eight-month-old American Bulldog/Staffie.

BEN: He is a six-year-old Springer Spaniel.

MARIO: He is a handsome 14-month-old Labrador cross.

PUPPY: She is the only one left from Lily we homed. She is a white husky cross.

CAINE: 20-month male rough coated lurcher. Loves everyone children, dogs and even cats! Would make a perfect pet. [See photo].

JESS AND MOLLY: They are 14-month Patterdale Terrier sisters.

SPECIAL APPEAL FOR LEO WITH MADRA DOG REHOMING CHARITY

“LEO the lion boy here, I’m two and if I do say so myself, I’m a super guy. Y...eah, so I only have three proper functioning legs but that has never held me back. I was born special, one of my legs loved me so much it was wrapped around me in a hug and never straightened.

“Whatever, it’s a thing of nothing. It doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t bother me so don’t allow it to bother you. Deal?

“I love everyone and everything thing but man, I really love a good cuddle and pet. I’m a touchy-feely type of guy. I think there may be some collie in my background but the main bloodline is terrier. I am having fun here and I’m getting on with all the others but I am watching out all the time for you to come and get me, I just want to go to my very own new home with you.”
