A NEW exhibit is set to be opened at The Beacon on Saturday – and people are being invited to be reunited with their work.
Copeland Borough Council’s Arts Development team are looking to reunite some local people with their portrait, which will form part of the Creative Copeland exhibit to run from January 14 to February 8.
The exhibition celebrates recent Arts Development activity in Copeland.
Copeland Borough Council’s Arts Development Service works in partnership with arts and non-arts providers to develop and deliver arts projects aimed at tackling strategic priorities as well as raising levels of participation and engagement across the borough.
The exhibition will showcase a range of multimedia art works developed by individuals and community groups participating on a number of projects, including Pathways to Art and Pop-up Shop (Art in Empty Spaces programme).
Featured work will include films by Hensingham Day Care Centre and Amazing Art, puppets made by Montreal Junior School.
There will also be graffiti artwork by Monkwray Junior School and woodcarving and ceramics by participants of the Pathways to Art project.
For further information contact Anne Timpson at The Beacon on 01946 592302 or e-mail thebeacon@copeland.gov.uk.
