FINDING something different which the kids will enjoy and which doesn’t cost the earth is often a daunting prospect for parents when the school holidays are looming, but Whitehaven Sports Centre are always looking at ways to add variety to their sessions to keep the kids entertained at a reasonable price!
The centre holds daily Multi Mix / Activity sessions including games and sporting activities and has recently introduced a Junior Circuit Training class for the over eights which is a fun based keep fit session using props such as hand weights for kids, which has already proved really popular. In the school summer holidays there will also be a new Cheerleading Session starting Wednesday, July 30!
“Cheerleading may sound like an unusual choice for a class” said Stephen Cunningham, manager of the centre, “but we have found that it can be difficult to find something new for children to do which involves exercise, especially for girls. The sessions will offer a new way to keep fit which is fun, different and energetic.”
Also on offer is football coaching sessions, Jungle Jacks soft play and roller discos The Sports Centre also operates a creche four mornings a week where your children can play while you participate in one of the many adult classes.
To book any of these activities, call Whitehaven Sports Centre on 01946 695666.
