Michael makes his mark

MICHAEL Noblett finished almost three minutes ahead of the chasing pack on Flat Fell.
Noblett found winning form for the 5.5km course, ahead of Michael Billinghurst. Lewis Taylor took a very close third place just 10 seconds adrift.
Charlotte Watson was first lady in an impressive 36.07, holding off Margaret Mackenzie who was two minutes behind.
Rosie Watson and Katrina Hemingway had great performances on the short course, with fifth and ninth positions respectively.
The summer series continues each week throughout the summer, with somewhere different to orienteer each Thursday.

These events are an ideal opportunity for pupils taking part in the school series to have a go on open terrain.
