It’s jazz time at theatre

THE All Star Jazz Band with special guest Duke Heitger from New Orleans are coming to Rosehill Theatre.
They are performing on Monday, May 12, at 7.30pm, after headlining at this year’s Keswick Jazz Festival.
The Rosehill concert will be recorded, tickets £14/£12.
The Jazz Festival started yesterday (Wednesday) and runs until Sunday.
Other stars performing in Keswick include Keith Nichols, Alan Barnes, Randy Sandke and Jeff Barnhart.
WHITEHAVEN Male Voice Choir are performing at Distington’s Church of the Holy Spirit tomorrow night (Friday).
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 including wine.

CUMBRIA Wildlife Trust West Coast Support Group is holding a walk to look for hay meadow flora, including orchids.
It takes place on Wednesday, May 14, at 6.30pm, at Holme Meadow. The walk will be led by Rosemary Hutt, children are welcome, accompanied by an adult. Meet at Holmrook Bridge.
YOU are invited to ‘Bring An Ancestor’ for the next meeting of Whitehaven & District Local History Society. It takes place on May 19 in the United Reformed Church, at 7.30pm.
