WHITEHAVEN came back from a 14-0 deficit to overcome the challenge of Blackpool Panthers 32-18 in yesterday's Northern Rail Cup group clash.
Despite the early scare Haven got into gear and denied the Panthers a bonus point with a late converted try, stretching their lead to 14 points.
Gary Broadbent claimed a hat-trick for Haven, with further tries from Rob Jackson, Craig Calvert and Scott Teare. Carl Rudd added four goals from six attempts.
