Students will put their work on show after Trust in Haven project success

STUDENTS at Lakes College West Cumbria have been chosen by the Northern Council for Further Education to put their work on show following the successful completion of a project set by Trust In Haven, the Whitehaven Supp-orters Co-operative Limited.
The art department students were set a task to design logos and posters for the Trust’s promotional campaigns and Della Benson, Jake Haldane, Cameron Joyce, Luke Kenmare, John Dean-Montanez, Melissa McStraw and Jessica-Rose Surtees were short-listed.
Each was presented with a Trust achievement award and art materials vouchers sponsored by Haven Crafts, Whitehaven, by Trust chairman, Ian Stephenson.
First choice for his colourful design was John Dean-Montanez, while Cameron Joyce and Jessica-Rose Surtees received nominations for juniors section design and a website page, who each received additional value vouchers.
Two students, Cameron Joyce and John Dean-Montanez were chosen by the NCFE to show their work.
Another achievement aw-ard and voucher was presen-ted to Trust member, Shauna McClellan who also submitted a design praised by Board members.
