New date for Haven's cup tie with Halifax
Last updated at 10:08, Monday, 07 March 2011
Whitehaven RLFC's Northern Rail Cup tie against last season’s Championship winners Halifax has been rescheduled.
The Cumbrians had been 2-0 up 15 minutes into their rescheduled match on Wednesday night when the Recreation Ground was plunged into darkness thank to a fault with an electrical feed outside the ground.
The match had previously been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Now Haven and Halifax will play on March 16 at the Recreation Ground to see who moves on to the next round.
