WORKINGTON Town retained the Ike Southward Memorial Trophy for a second year after defeating Whitehaven 26-18 at Derwent Park.
Both sides battled for the full 80-minutes in a tough West Cumbrian derby clash but in the end Town just had the edge.
Two tries from outstanding prop Marc Shackley, who was also the man-of-the-match, plus one apiece from Graeme Mattinson and debut boys Jamie Thackray and Brett Phillips proved crucial to Town, with Marc Bainbridge adding three goals.
For Haven, Max Wiper was over the try line on two occasions, with Scott McAvoy and Dave Houghton also touching down and Jonathan Youds converting one.
