Latest acquisition is scrum-half Martin Gambles who has been brought in from Blackpool Panthers.
Gambles, 27, has stood out like a beacon for the National League Two strugglers and wants the chance to step up and show his true worth at a higher level.
Haven have been desperate to plug the gap left by John Duffy who went to Widnes and coach Ged Stokes things Gambles, small, quick and elusive, will fill the bill.
Club chairman Gordon Grace said: "Ged sees the potential in him and our coach hasn't been wrong so far.
"Martin Gambles is a tough little nut, he seems a grand lad and we hope coming to Whitehaven bring the bvery best out of him."
The chairman said the new capture did not undermine the position of Marc Bainbridge who played well in the win over Leigh.
"Bamber" is still a young lad with lots of promise, what we need is competition for places right across the park. Look what happened against Leigh when we lost three of our key players all with broken limbs" said Mr Grace.
Gambles won't be included in the squad for Wigan on Monday he's cup tied.
At the Recreation Ground he teams up with the two other new men, Andy Gorski from Halifax and veteranTane Manihera who may form a halfback partnership with Gambles.
