Bauer hint a good sign of return

KIWI Andreas Bauer has dropped a huge hint that he will return to Whitehaven when his lucrative loan move to France ends – by sending the club a detailed dossier on their Challenge Cup rivals Lezignan.
Bauer impressed for Haven in his only appearance so far for the club, in the battling draw at Sheffield, before French outfit Pia offered him a big-money short-term deal, possibly until the end of next month.
But the versatile back pledged publicly after agreeing the move that he would return to the Recre to see out his contract, and his help in assessing French champs Lezignan suggests he will stick to his word.
“He sent us a dossier on the strengths and weaknesses of Lezignan players,” said club director Karl Connor.
“It was a shame that we couldn’t knock Lezignan out, but the fact that he sent it, unsolicited, goes a long way to showing his plans.
“He’s staying in regular contact and looking forward to coming back to the club.”
