Strip C, pictured right, was the narrow winner of the vote, organised by the club and The Whitehaven News – but by just three votes from the blue and black tones of shirt B.
Club general manager Amanda Hewer was delighted with the response, seeing over 200 fans register their votes through the club or the paper.
She said: “This is what we wanted, to get the fans involved so we are really happy that they all grasped their chance to do so and took part.
“It is quite a traditional choice with the vee and the blue and gold colours and it takes us back as we have not had a yellow playing kit for a while.”
She added: “It is nice to get some of our traditional colours back on the shirt.
“We have had blue and purple in recent years so it is nice to get the yellow with some chocolate and blue out there.”
The away kit will be available after Christmas but the new 2016 home strip is hoped to be ready and available in time for the festive season.
