DIE-HARD fans can snap up a senior season ticket for just £190 as Whitehaven announced 2016’s ticket prices.

That equals £11.88 per game if the Blackpool Bash clash with Workington Town and end-of-season Super 8 games are taken into consideration.

The low price is only available until January 10, and after that goes up to £200.

Anyone over 65 will pay £150, while juniors will be charged £45, which includes free entry into all away games.

On-the-day prices are: £16 for seniors, £11 for concessions and £5 for juniors.

And entry into The Recre will be through the use of a new photo ID card, which the club is running for the first time next term.

A club spokesman said: “Whitehaven has now gone digital on its season ticket operation with installation of a digital system.

“Season tickets will now be in a simple to carry photo ID format. This innovative operation is more efficient and will cut down considerably on printing costs.”

Whitehaven officials have attended the House of Lords' annual dinner where they visited some of the sport's famous memorabilia, including the 1954 Challenge Cup final ball, and a pair of Brian Bevan's boots.

These are just two items going on a nationwide tour next year, and will visit Whitehaven, thanks to director Mark Stamper, on February 29.
