WHITEHAVEN'S already injury-ravaged squad has been dealt another major blow with Jordan Burns fracturing his eye socket and cheek bone.
The injury happened during the heavy loss to Hunslet Hawks, and the former Super League starlet, who was on the books of Warrington Wolves, was due to see a specialist yesterday.
Burns, and England Academy product, penned a three-year deal at The Recre in 2013, and because of the swelling around his face, doctors have been unable to determine the extend of his injury.
It is not known if Burns' jaw has been damaged, said the club's general manager Amanda Hewer.
