HOW THEY MET: At secondary school, after Ben was moved into Gemma’s geography class.

PROPOSAL: Christmas Day 2010. The ring was wrapped up like a Christmas present.

VENUE: Our Lady and St Wilfrid’s Church, Warwick Bridge.

THEME: Aqua, silver and butterflies.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A Maggie Sottero dress from Country Dreams, Carlisle, veil with matching pearl edging and tiara from Diamond Beauty, Carlisle.

GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Richard Brown was best man.

The groom, best man, bride’s father and groom’s father all wore their own black suits with aqua ties/hankerchief detail to match the bridesmaids’ dresses from Marks & Spencer.

BRIDESMAIDS: Friends Katy Walker and Clare Brown were bridesmaids and wore aqua knee length dresses from Marks & Spencer’s bridal range.

FLOWERS: White gerberas and eucalyptus from Daisy Chain, Brampton.

TRANSPORT: Light aqua blue Rover 75, owned by best man Richard Brown and bridesmaid Clare Brown, decorated with white ribbons.

RECEPTION: The Shepherds Inn, Carlisle for a wedding breakfast for 20 guest and evening buffet for 170 guests.

TABLE SETTINGS: Silver and white balloons, with aqua blue lanterns.

FAVOURS: Silver boxes with butterfly details, filled with jellybeans, made by the bride and her mother Ann Kimm.

JEWELLERY: Matching gold bands from Weddingringsdirect.com.

HAIR AND BEAUTY: Hair by Signature Hair and Beauty, Brampton.

CAKE: A two-tier cake from Marks & Spencer with two tiers of fruit and one of sponge, decorated in silver and aqua blue with a gerbera and butterfly theme by the groom’s mother Mary Brown.

FIRST DANCE: From This Moment On, Shania Twain.

ENTERTAINMENT: Misty Rivers Disco.

HONEYMOON: Lara Beach, Turkey.
