The organisers of Reboot Tribute Festival have announced that entrance will now be free of charge.

A limited number of tickets for the all-day event - taking place at Workington Town RLFC at Derwent Park on Saturday July 1 - are available and can be booked via the CN Events website at www.cnevents.co.uk

Running from 1pm to 10pm, Reboot promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family.

Gracing the stage this year will be local Thin Lizzy tribute act Five and Dangerous and covers band Mojo Rising from Cockermouth. In addition, Guns Not Roses, The Jam’d, Kazabian and Queen tribute act Flash will round out the Main Stage line-up.

A second stage will play host to the best of Cumbria’s local music scene with performances from Dan Mason, Daley, Flick and Harrison as well as an acoustic set from Main Stage act Mojo Rising.

The 2016 event saw musical tributes to David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis, Stereophonics and the Foo Fighters and was a huge hit with its audience.

The one day festival is organised by CN Events and supported by Allerdale Borough Council, Workington Town RLFC and the Times & Star.

Councillor Mark Fryer, Allerdale Borough Council’s portfolio holder for economic growth, said: "Last year’s Reboot festival was a brilliant family day out. It was small enough for you to be able to take the whole family and big enough that you could have a really good crack.

"There was something for everyone - young and old. The atmosphere was great.

"This year’s event is promising to be even better with fantastic bands and kids activities - and all for free.

"As a council we know how important festivals and events are in promoting the area, as well as boosting the local economy. That’s why we’re really keen to support events like Reboot."

CN Events director Marie Whitehead added: "We’re delighted to be working with Allerdale Borough Council and Workington Town Rugby Club to bring Reboot back in 2017.

"Last year’s event was a great success and the line-up this year is fantastic. It’s a really brilliant day out for the whole family and a chance to listen to some of the nation’s favourite music all for free!"

There will be a bar, a number of food outlets and family-friendly activities and entertainment on offer throughout the day, including a fairground, arts and crafts, giant board games and face painting.

Tickets will be limited to four per person and under-18s wishing to attend must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who has already paid for a ticket must bring proof of purchase to the box office where they will be issued with a full cash refund.
